Can you please supply information on the costs involved in mounting this operation, and the process used to assess the appropriate policing level?

The Finance Department have confirmed that Devon and Cornwall Constabulary does not hold any information in relation to the cost of policing this event.

The Operations Department has provided the following comment with regards to the process that was used:

The information police indicated that the party was on facebook with easy access for the public and, in effect, unrestricted. Previously these incidents at this location have generated considerable complaints and damage. Therefore as the event was now public and billed as the " Exeter Music and Drinking Party" a decision was made to close the event (which was not licensed) under section 63 CJ and PO Act.
