Re: Freedom of Information – Extension of Time to Reply
Your email dated 14 July 2009 has been considered to be a request for information in
accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
You requested: A copy of the agreement/letter with Dr Jones in which he makes these
restrictions on redistribution of the data.
In order for the Met Office to do a thorough review for you, it will be necessary to extend the
time to respond to you, as records cover a 30 year period. We will respond to you by 10
September 2009 or sooner if possible.
The information supplied to you continues to be protected by the Copyright, Designs and
Patents Act 1988 (the Act). Unless specifically permitted by the Act, any reproduction of the
