Dear Mr Taylor,

  1. I have been informed of your request for an internal review to our FOI response to your question below, dated 11 August 2009.

The MoD's published statistics relating to Operation Herrick (Afghanistan) state that during the period 7 October 2001 to 15 June 2009 210 UK individuals were seriously or very seriously injured. (1) For each of those individuals could you please release brief details of the nature of the injuries sustained.

  1. As part of the internal review, we are looking at our response locally and will provide you with a response within 10 working days, 10th September 2009. The full internal review is still being conducted by the Chief Information Officer - Head Corporate Information and will be complete by 9th October 2009.

  1. The information supplied to you continues to be protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You are free to use it for your own purposes, including any non-commercial research you are doing and for the purposes of news reporting.  Any other reuse, for example commercial publication, would require the permission of the copyright holder. Most documents supplied by the Ministry of Defence will have been produced by government officials and will be Crown Copyright.
