of religious worship (under the Places of Worship Registration Act
1855)?

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 (FOIA) - INFORMATION REQUEST
The City of London (CoL) acknowledges receipt of your request for

Please note that the CoL is the Local Authority for the "square mile"
only, ie the historic City of London, and not London as a whole, which
is covered by over 30 boroughs and the Westminster City Council. Please

The CoL does have some functions, including Port Health Authority
functions, which extend beyond the City boundary. For further

interesting... but not registered as one under the Places of Worship Registration Act 1855. It would seem.

Note that local planning law will have different criteria, and meaning, to national charity law. I don't think the recognition as 'place of worship' for the purposes of CoL planning is overly significant.
