Description: 
 
A  predominantly  sessile  oak  woodland  with  ash,  elm,  birch  and  alder  locally  abundant, 
and damp base rich flush  area typical of such situations in the coalfield. Poorly drained 
wet  meadows  along  the  upper  fringes  of  western  slopes  of  the  valley  support  stands  of 
Osumunda regalis.
