]is located approximately 1.5km to the south west of the centre of Merthyr Tydfil, on an east facing slope at an altitude of between 250m and 350m. The site comprises a series of small enclosures surrounded by woodland, together with more open land with scattered mature trees. This open area includes remnant spoil tips between one hundred and two hundred years old.[Author ID0: at ]
