Dear Mr Wakenshaw
Freedom of Information Act (2000) - Request for Information
Thank you for your request for the following information:
Proposed new dog control orders banning dogs from many areas and forcing owners to keep dogs on leashes lead me to believe that insufficient use is being made of present powers of dog control orders.
Could you please provide me with the following statistics:
1. How many on-the-spot fines were made in the last two years?
2. How many dog owners were prosecuted through courts in the last two years?
This request was received on 09 July 2009 and has been allocated Freedom of Information Request Reference FOI/2009/0342
