This is in reference to your request for information regarding the Schedule E of the IDENT1 contract ref no: 46704, made under section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act, dated and received by the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) on 24^th July 2009.

Sincere apologies for the late response, the delay was as a result of a change in the way that the Agency deals with Internal Reviews. I understand my Staff Officer has been in touch with you on this.

Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within the NPIA to locate information relevant to your request and were partially disclosed to you on 26^th May 2009.

A letter of appeal was received on 16^th September 2009 questioning the use of exemptions 41 (1) and 43 (2) and requesting the full version of Schedule E IDENT1 to be released.

In considering whether or not this information should be disclosed, I have concluded that the correct exemptions were applied to the information you were seeking, therefore the information is exempt from release.

If you are still unhappy with the decision made from this Internal Review, you have the right under section 50 of the Act to complain directly to the Information Commissioner.
