Further to our letter of 7^th July, your request for information has now been considered and the information requested is set out below.

Q1 For each of the schools in the LEA: the number of children identified as a) gifted

b) talented. The number of children on roll

A Please see attached

Q2 The Value of funding for each school to develop support for gifted and talented pupils.

A Funding for Gifted and Talanted is within the overall Standards fund grant for each school. It isn't a specified amount.

Q3 What formula does Herefordshire council use to determine the funding provided?

A Herefordshire Council has no funding formula because we do not provide the funding or have any jurisdiction over how it's spent.

Q4 Please provide me with council policy to identification of Talanted & Gifted individuals and underperformers

A We have no county policy but direct schools to the national guidance.

Q5 How does Herefordshire Council monitor and regulate compliance towards the identification policy.

A Schools are monitored with regard to G and T provision by the local contact inspector, by the SIP and in Ofsted school and occasional aspect inspections.
