Thank you for your email dated the 17th July 2009 in which you requested an Internal 
Review into your Freedom of Information Act request concerning the release of un-
redacted copies of the three files related to the Church of Scientology on the 
Department’s disclosure log. 
 
I have been allocated your request for an Internal Review as an independent official of 
the Home Office who was not involved in answering your original request.  
 
The Home Office aims to complete your review and provide you with a response within 
40 working days from the date we received your request. Unfortunately however, the 
review process is taking slightly longer than I had hoped. Therefore, I write to inform you 
that we now aim to provide you with a full response by the 15th October 2009. I hope 
that this delay does not inconvenience you unduly. 
 
If you have any queries regarding the handling of this internal review, then please do
