Thank you for your email received on 07 July in which you requested information regarding electively home educated children and care plans.

 

Your request has been considered and the information requested is below:

 

 1. Number of electively home educated children known to your LA.

Section 21 provides for the exemption of information which is reasonably accessible to an applicant by another means. In this instance the information in response to this question can be found on our website at the following link:

4. Total number of children who have a care plan in place due to concerns of abuse.

As of 30 June 2009, there were 205 children in Hackney subject to child protection plans.
