REQUEST FOR REVIEW UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (SCOTLAND) ACT 2002

(THE “ACT”)

I refer to your request for a formal review of the decision made in connection with your Freedom of Information request of 30 June 2009.

Your Request

You asked Glasgow City Council to provide you with the following information:-

“1 The names and job titles of all employees in your organisation who are Common Purpose Graduates.

2 The total expenditure by your organisation on Common Purpose courses for each of the years 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008.”

The Decision

A decision letter by Jennifer Small, Freedom of Information Officer, was sent to you on 24 July 2009.

This letter stated that the Council has not made any payments to Common Purpose in respect of any graduate scheme.

The Review

You sought a review of the abovementioned response on 21 August 2009 and submitted an email requesting elaboration of how courses were paid for by the Council and providing a link to a document available on the world wide web.

The Review Decision

I have now carried out a review of Ms Small's decision letter. I would explain that in relation to your question 1 as set out above, Glasgow City do not hold any information relative to employees who are Common Purpose “graduates”.

Appeal of the Review Decision
