Dear Mr Fallon,
Thank you for your email of 28 May 2009, regarding your unacknowledged request
for an internal review.
Unfortunately, due to an internal error, your request was not passed to the
Information Access Team for processing. I apologise for this error and the
subsequent delay caused to the commencement of the internal review
I have now been allocated your review and am conducting this as an independent
official of the Home Office who was not involved in answering your original request.
The Home Office aims to complete all such reviews and provide the applicant with a
response within 40 working days from the date at which we received the request.
Unfortunately that deadline has now passed in this case. Because of this delay I am
dealing with your request as a matter of priority and wil respond to you as soon as
possible. This should not be later than 24 September 2009.
If you have any queries regarding the handling of this internal review then please do
