FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOI): REQUEST FOR INTERNAL REVIEW

I am replying to your requests of 16 and 27 July 2009 for an Internal Review of the Department's responses to your FOI requests of 1 May and 26 June 2009. These were requests for information the Department used when constructing the government's response to the e- petition.

I consider that it is in the public interest to send you a copy of the information the Department used in replying to your FOI requests about the data and that the Department should have send this to you in the first place. I apologise for this.

The information concerned comprises an email from the Local Government Ombudsman dated 11 November 2008 and I understand that Vanita Patel sent this to you by email today. I now consider that the Department has released all the information it has in relation to your requests.
