Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000: Request for information

Thank you for further your further e-mail correspondence dated 14 August 2009. I am sorry to note that you are still not fully satisfied with FOI request 3991a, which was a follow up to FOI request 3991.

In response to your correspondence dated 14 August 2009, I can advise the following:

Following an internal review, you were supplied a detailed follow up response by my colleague, the other Departmental Records Officer within Customer Relations, with an apology for any information in previous correspondence that may have appeared to be ambiguous.

With regard to that response (FOI3991a), only information which is held at the time can be given and my colleague provided this. Unfortunately, however, predicting future parking behaviour is not within the remit of Freedom of Information Departmental Records Officers. Therefore, there will be no further internal enquiry into the handling of this case.

In conclusion, the options now available to you at this stage are: either to contact the Information Commissioner (the details are provided below) or you can make a formal complaint to Customer Relations, if you feel that this request was not handled correctly; however, a formal complaint procedure would be dealt with separately and outwith the Freedom of Information Act (2000) process.

I trust that this further response has clarified the City Council's position in this matter.
