I refer to your Freedom of information request received by the Learning and Skills
Council (LSC) on 25 June.
You have requested:
1. The Final and agreed Maximum Contract Values (MCV) […] released for North
Lindsey College in Scunthorpe for the year 2009-2010. I believe these values
have only been agreed in the last few weeks although I am not sure.
The LSC Regions issued letters on 11 June to Colleges and Training Providers.
because, as a result of the discussions with Ministers on the current Train to Gain
and adult Apprenticeship funding position, we agreed to move the date to confirm
Maximum Contract Values (MCVs) to the 19th June. The letter provided specific
details of the package of measures in place to manage the ongoing success of
these services to employers and to provide early notification of other options the
LSC is currently exploring. All of these actions are designed to enable the LSC to
stay within the budget allocated for the 2009-10 financial year and to maximise the
availability of funding for new starts needed to help employers and learners during
the current economic difficulties. In line with the details of the letter, the LSC is
currently working with colleges and Training Providers to gather information and
agree the Train to Gain contracts for 2009/10.

2. It would also be very useful if you could show the deviation (if any) from the
O|RIGINAL Agreed MCV’s for 2009/10 which may have been set a while ago.
The information you have requested is not held by the LSC as there are no
“ORIGINAL Agreed MCV’s for 2009/10 which may have been set a while ago”.
