Dear I Peroll

Re: Freedom of Information Request

I received three e-mails from you on 24th July 2009 in which you were unhappy with the decisions in
relation to your FOI request:

You requested for the handling of your FOI request to be considered at an internal review, in
particular the following sections of your initial request:

•  Suicide rates-losing children to ‘forced adoption’
•  Forced Adoption Complaints
•  Amanda Barden – Cafcass Canterbury Kent

Please note: A Senior Officer who was not party to the original decision on whether to release the
information will conduct the internal review. The internal reviewer will review the manner in which the
application was dealt with and is empowered to either uphold or overturn the original decision.

This letter serves to acknowledge that your request for an internal review was received on the 24th
July 2009 and I will be dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Cafcass is required to notify you as to the final decision made regarding your internal review. Cafcass
aim to deal with internal reviews within 6 weeks of receiving the request.  You will receive a response
on or before the 4th September 2009.

If you have any queries please do contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Jasvinder Jassal
