REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON THE INTRODUCTION OF BEAVERS AT KNAPDALE
Thank you for your request for information relating to the documentation supporting the decision to re-introduce beavers at Knapdale forest which we received on 1st July. Your request has been handled in accordance with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
The information you requested refers to a decision made by the Scottish Government following a public consultation. The Scottish Parliament does not hold this information and so we cannot provide it to you.
The Scottish Beaver Trial (SBT) is a partnership project run by the Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT), the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) and the Forestry Commission Scotland(FCS). Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) is the independent body tasked by the Scottish Government to co-ordinate scientific monitoring of the project.
