Request for information - Flooding of Wentworth Street , DE7 5TF

Thank you for your e-mail requesting information about the above.

We have no records of historic flooding at Wentworth Street from main river in June 2007. However, in close proximity to Wentworth Street we have records of flooding from the River Erewash in 1956 and February 1977. Please note that we may or may not hold the original records in question. We do not make any claim as to the reliability of recorded flood extents nor that all flood events in the area have been recorded. Please also be aware that flood defences may have been built subsequent to these historic flood events

The quality of the above information is variable and does not provide an indicator of flood risk at individual property level.

The Environment Agency maps do not show all minor watercourses or canal floodplains and you should contact Erewash Borough Council for further clarification on flooding from the non main river which runs in close proximity to Wentworth Street .
