Hi Kevin,
One for your side of the world.
Hannah – we generally renew any faded markings based upon budget constraints, but redesign or
DfT compliance usually goes thru the PMC (HMWC designs).
Regards,
Ross

Hi Ross,
Do you have a provisional date in mind to redesign YBJ 527 CHRISTCHURCH RD / PRIORY RD following Graeme Craigs
announcement last November?  If not, is there a date that we know YBJs will be reviewed, as Vince says below, for example by
2012 as part of TfL road improvements?

Many thanks
H

I would ask him myself ☺

I don’t think TECO would consider no enforcement as an option – they have altered the way the box
is enforced and we have issued similar instruction to our representation officers.?

Anyhow, do you have anything we could advise the customer regarding when the box junction,
which is totally legal and authorised by the DfT, will be remarked to correspond with the current
enforcement policy employed by TECO.? Maybe something fuzzy like the markings are due to be
refreshed in January 2012 as part of Transport for London road improvement – as long as it’s
factually correct?

Hi Vince – I’m just checking with Graeme that he really did say that  :^)
Then I suggest we make the site unenforceable until the site can be redesigned.

Hi,

TECO - Can you advise if there is any special enforcement policy with regard to this box junction - Christchurch
Road/Priory Road?

Street Fault – Can you advise if there is any plan to redesign the box junction ?

The following questions have been asked by a customer who has obviously read the paragraph below and is upset that
he has received the PCN?

The following paragraph has been published on the
http://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/news/topstories/3827856.Colliers_Wood_box_junction_could_be_redesigned_after_
it_raked_in___300k_in_fines/

not sure who else has run the story – published in November 08 and Purporting to quote Graeme Craig

.PARA” In a response to the MP, TfL director Graeme Craig said: "It is clear to me that vehicles stopped in the opening area of the
yellow box are not causing an obstruction to other traffic. The junction will be redesigned in due course, however in the interim no
further Penalty Charge Notices will be issued for vehicles which are observed as stationery in this area of the junction."

Best Regards,
