Dear Mr Yates,

 

Thank you for your email of 18 June to the Department of Health requesting, under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act data on the children of asylum seekers and childhood immunisations programmes.

 

I can confirm that the Department does not hold the information requested. 

 

Although information about childhood immunisations is collected by the Department, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs), the data available to the Department and HPA does not contain information on immigration status.

 

However, I can advise that individual PCTs may have information on immunisations given at locations such as an immigration removal centres in their area. Contact details for PCTs are available on the NHS Choices website at: www.nhs.uk.
