
Advertising
All advertisements placed under the county council's name have to conform to an agreed style. They should be based on the job description and person specification and include:
job title;
status ( eg part-time, temporary);
work patterns/ rotas where appropriate;
annual salary or rate of pay, including allowances;
location;
clear information on how to follow up interest in the job;
closing date;
clear statement of our commitment to equality; and
double tick disability symbol.
They should also give an indication of the level of skills, qualifications and competencies required, any experience needed and the type of work involved.
Advertisements should be limited to about 50 words. Make sure that the language is unambiguous and does not discriminate in any way. If you are uncertain about how to write the advertisement refer to the Recruitment Team.
