Managers Guidance - Recruitment E - Pack
The aim of this guidance is to enable managers to use the electronic recruitment pack which will be sent to them following the closing date of a recruitment campaign. It will contain electronic copies of all the application forms to be used for shortlisting purposes.
Note: All recruitment information which you transfer onto your own PC must be deleted at the end of the recruitment campaign in order to comply with the Data Protection Act.
1. New Pack of Applicants

You will receive an email saying “A new pack of applicants for ……….. is available from the recruiting service.” which will provide a link to enable you to access all the application forms. If you have nominated other members of the panel to receive an E-Pack they will also receive an email with a link. Clicking the link will take you to the following screen:
2. Confirmation of Receipt of E-Pack
To confirm to your recruitment co-ordinator that you have received access to the E-Pack file, please click on the “Edit” button (top left hand side). This will bring up a button asking you to “Confirm Receipt - Email Case Manager” by pressing this button an automated email will be sent to your recruitment co-ordinator confirming that you have received the E-Pack.
3. Viewing Application forms
By pressing “Edit” it will enable you to:
View a list of all applicants and application forms
Add comments regarding the job

To view an application form click the green icon at the side of “applications” this will bring a list of applicants names. Double click the applicant's name of the form you wish to view, which will open the screen below:
Double click on the application form and this will open the application form allowing you to view it on screen.
Use the shortlisting spreadsheet to assess each application form against the criteria putting a Y or N against each one. Make sure you remember to put the applicants name in the appropriate place. You will then be able to see at a glance which ones you want to interview.
Note - In line with the Council's Green Strategy we would request that you only print application forms for shortlisted applicants. Application forms that are printed should be kept and returned to the BSC at the end of the recruitment campaign.
