Recruitment of Care Managers/Social Workers

The recruitment of care managers/social workers is managed in the same way as recruitment to any other vacancy and in accordance with the KCC recruitment strategy which sets out the following:

Assessment Techniques

In order to ensure we appoint the right people into the right posts, we need to use a range of techniques to compliment the interview process, testing only for essential requirements for the job.

Training

There are a range of training courses available to managers relating to recruitment and selection. As a standard Managers are provided with a 2 day recruitment/selection training programme and are supported throughout the recruitment process by a Recruitment Services Team.

Advertising

Vacancies are advertised as a minimum on the KCC web site www.kent.gov.uk Mangers may also choose to advertise in the local or national press, on other web sites or in other places if there is a business case for the expenditure.

Service User Involvement
