REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN HRH THE PRINCE OF WALES AND THE QATAR ROYAL FAMILY

Thank you for your request for information contained in your e-mail of 16 June 2009.

You asked to be told whether the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, or officials, had received copies of any correspondence between HRH the Prince of Wales and members of the royal family of Qatar within the last twelve months, or had been notified of the existence of any such correspondence.

Your request has been considered under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000.

A search has been carried out of the Department's records of correspondence. No record has been found of any correspondence relevant to your request. I can therefore confirm that, to the best of our knowledge, the Department has not received or been notified of any such correspondence and therefore does not hold any information falling within the terms of your request.

As an organisation we aim to be as helpful as possible in the way we deal with requests for information under the FOI Act. If, however, you are not satisfied with the way in which your request has been handled or the outcome, you may request an internal review within two calendar months of the date of this letter. Information about the Department's review procedures and how to apply for an internal review of your case can be found on the Department's website. This also explains your right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision in the event that you remain dissatisfied following the Department's review.
