Dear Mr Marks,

Town & Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997

Tree 43 montpelier park

MARCHMONT AND MEADOWS CONSERVATION AREA

I refer to your e-mail of 2 April 2009.

I can advise you that the City Development Department would offer no objection to the proposed works to fell the sycamore as indicated and located on your clients property at 43 Montpelier Park.

I must further advise that neither the foregoing or any further comment made by Council personnel can dispense with any requirement to seek the permission of other interested parties, (e.g. co-owners/tenants of the property, proprietors of neighbouring land if the trees are located on their land) if such consent is needed to carry out the work.

Thank you for contacting me on this matter if you have any further questions please call me on 0131 529 3919.

Yours sincerely
