Dear Mr Batsworth
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
We refer to your request for information dated Friday 12 June 2009, received
by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) on Monday 15 June 2009 requesting:
1.  Quantities and types of all trees ordered to date for new plantings
in the Olympic Park.
2.  Details of any proposed orders for trees that have not yet been
placed.
Item 1
We confirm we hold information of the description specified in this item of your
request.
Much of the information which you have requested in this item of your request
is publicly available from the ODA’s press release on 10 June 2009 which is
available on the London 2012 website.
The Olympic Delivery Authority is a statutory authority established under the London Olympic Games and Paralympic
1
Games Act 2006.

park-trees-hand-picked-for-london-s-larges.php
However, in order to assist you further, we have attached a table containing a
list of all the trees which have been bought for the North and South Park and
which include those trees which the ODA has ordered for the area around the
Olympic Stadium (please see Annex A).
Item 2
We do not hold information of the description specified in this item of your
request. The ODA holds (Section 3 FOIA) no recorded information (Section 84
FOIA) about any proposed orders of trees for the Olympic Park which have
not yet been placed. The circa 2000 semi-mature British-grown trees which
have been procured meet the ODA’s required tree complement for the both
the north and south of the Olympic Park in Games mode. We regret that we
are therefore unable to communicate the information to you.
We can advise you (as per our Section 16 FOIA obligations) that we may be
required to buy further trees for the Athlete’s Village. However, we do not have
any recorded information regarding “proposed  orders for trees that have not
yet been placed” for the Athlete’s Village.
We trust that the above information is of assistance to you. However, if you
are not satisfied with the response to your request and wish to make a
complaint, you should write to The Information Officer, Olympic Delivery
Authority, One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5LN. Please state
detailed grounds for your complaint.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the
Information Commissioner will not make a decision unless you have
exhausted the complaint procedure provided by the ODA. The Information
Commissioner can be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office,
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely

Information Officer
