Re: Request for information.

I write in response to your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act, 2000. You have specifically requested the following:

“a copy of all the Designated Public Place Orders made by your authority under sections 12 to 16 of the Police and Criminal Justice Act 2001 and which are currently in force, together with a copy of any maps which show the extent of

the area covered by each order?”.

I can confirm that the Council does not hold this information. Currently, there are no

Designated Public Place Orders in force, however, there are proposals to make the above Order in 2 areas within the Borough. The Council is consulting in relation to this, and it is intended that decisions will be made by full Council in October 2008. The public notices in relation to this are already in the public domain.
