Freedom of Information Request
I refer to your request of 8 June 2009 under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 in which you have requested the following (the period in question for this data you have stipulated is for the period October - December 2008)
The exact age of each individual UASC was when first accommodated.
Age 16.11, 16.9. 16.5, 17.5, 17.9, 17.11
The exact date each individual first became accommodated under Section 20
May 2009
An indication by yes or no on whether you have provided any UASC with Section 17 support, prior to them being accommodated under Section 20 on the date given in B)

If, at present, any individual has been discharged from Section 20, please advise of the exact date this discharge took effect.
None discharged.
Whether any services are currently provided, to each individual, under the Children (Leaving Care) Act.
Yes
Whether any services are currently provided, to each individual under Section 17 of the Children Act.
Yes
The exact date any individual UASC was assessed as being 18 or more years of age.
We have asked you to clarify this request and are therefore unable to respond at this stage.
You have made a final comment regarding whether we follow the practice of not accommodating a UASC under Section 20 until you have assessed them as being under the age of 18.
The council does not know of what practice you refer to and is therefore unable to respond to this element of the request. I would stress that under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Council is only obliged to provide information if it already exists in a “recorded” format e.g. in writing, held on electronic or magnetic media e.g. computers or tapes.
