CONCERNING EDUCATION COUNSELLORS
Thank you for contacting Worcestershire County Council.
Your request for information has now been considered and the information you
have asked for is below.
Question 1 – Does your Local Authority presently employ Education
Counsellors* (rather than 'buying in' such a service from an external provider)?
Answer – No, Worcestershire County Council (WCC) does not employ
Education Counsellors.
Question 2 – If the answer to Question 1 is 'yes' please state for each of
Education Counsellor employed by the Local Authority the following:
Whether they are deemed eligible for the Teachers Pension Scheme,
and;
The date when they joined the Teachers Pension Scheme, and;
Whether they are employed on Teachers Terms and Conditions of
Employment.
Answer – Not applicable as WCC does not employ Education Counsellors.
Question 3 – If the Local Authority does not presently employ Education
Counsellors have they done so in the past?
Answer – No, WCC has not employed Education Counsellors in the past.
