Dear Mr Urquhart
I am writing in response to your request for information of 29 May 2009,
concerning the Regional Economic Council. I can confirm that we hold
information relevant to your request.
The Regional Economic Council involves Regional Ministers, Regional
Development Agency chairs and other relevant groups to ensure that the
issues and concerns of each region are heard and acted on across
Government.
To answer your points in turn:
1. The number of meetings of the Regional Economic Council that the
Chair of the South West Regional Development Agency has attended
since October 2008.
The Chair of the South West RDA has attended two meetings of the Regional
Economic Council since October 2008.
2. The number of other board members or SWERDA staff members
travelling with the Chair to these meetings.
No staff or board members travelled with the Chair to these meetings.
3. The total cost of travel and accommodation of SWERDA staff when
attending these meetings.
No costs were incurred as no South West RDA staff attended these meetings.
4. Details of any meetings of the SWERDA board concerning the results
of REC meetings.
All minutes of the South West RDA Board meetings are made publicly
available at the following link:

minutes and papers.
