ACTION BY:

  1. Assistant to Vision post - Interview preparation:

The interview panel of DJ, PG, KF and AW was agreed. Interview questions had been

compiled and were agreed, subject to the addition of two further questions.

2. Bid preparation

The draft bid was agreed with the following amendments:

SS questioned issues of confidentiality around certain aspects of the bid. This issue

may be addressed in the Governance document - SB to check. An Agreement of

Confidentiality to be signed by Steering Group Members. (item for next agenda).

3. Any other business

SB and KF reported that representatives from the Arts Council, Witham and Food Group

had expressed an interest in attending a Vision Steering Group meeting. Following discussion,

it was agreed that at the present time, meetings would not be open to visitors, however the

Leadership Forum work could be structured in such a way that it would provide an opportunity

for the Steering Group to receive an update on local issues/projects.

Information to Steering Group:

It was agreed that a briefing document would be circulated to Steering Group members

a week prior the meeting to held on 24th August.

Market Place public conveniences:

Members discussed the recent closure of these facilities and the impact upon proposals

within the Barnard Castle Vision document and the Retail Distinctiveness Study.

The following preliminary actions were agreed:

The next meeting will be held on Friday 10th August 2007, 9.30am in the Conservatory

at Enterprise House.
