Dear Mr Watson,
Re: Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 – Request for Information
Thank you for your email which was received by the University on 27 May 2009 timed 14:09,
requesting information about:
“Please provide me with the organisational structure for the Student Lifecycle Project. For
each position please specify start date, end date and the cost to the University of Glasgow.”
University’s Response
Please find attached the organisational structure for the Student Lifecycle Project and the start
and end date for each position in appendices 1 and 2.
The total estimated cost to the project for the functional team (Functional Leads and team
members) is £1,559,926 and for the Project Office and Change Management teams (Project
Directors, UoG Project Manager, Change and Comms Manager) £695,698. These are
estimates – in most cases the costs relate to anticipated costs of back fill which is still being
put in place.
A fixed price contract is in place with the supplier and costs cannot therefore be ascribed to
particular roles or specific start and end dates be given.
For the technical team (Technical Lead and developers, Portal and Warehouse/BI Leads,
Systems Administrator and DBA) there will be a pool of internal resources which will be
supplemented with some additional external resource and used as required in accordance
with the Project Management Plan. This will be defined as part of the detailed planning
