Dear Mr Snowdome
Request for Information
Your correspondence dated 23 May has been considered to be a request for information in
accordance with the Environmental Information Regulations Act 2004.
I am writing in connection with your second question:
‘I would also like to be sent all communications between anybody working for the Met Office
(and any subsidiaries / linked organisations) and the IPCC’.
We hold information of the description specified in your request. We will assist you in meeting
your request but, as it stands, it is formulated in too general a manner. If you would like to
refine your request then we may be able to provide you with the environmental information you
require. Perhaps you have a particular subject in mind, or a specific timescale? Does your
question relate to all correspondence with the IPCC or are you looking for correspondence in
relation only to IPCC report AR4, as I have not yet established if the Met Office holds this
information?
I look forward to hearing from you.
If you are unhappy with the response or wish to complain about any aspect of the handling of
this request, then you should
contact me in the first instance. Should you remain dissatisfied,
then you may apply for an internal review by contacting the Director of Information Exploitation,
6th Floor, MOD Main Building, Whitehall, SW1A 2HB. (email [email address])
If you are still unhappy following an internal review, you may take your complaint to the
Information Commissioner under the provisions of Section 50 of the Freedom of Information
Act. Please note that the Information Commissioner will not normally investigate your case
until the MOD internal review process has been completed. Further details of the role and
powers of the Information Commissioner can be found on the Commissioner's website,
http://www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk
Yours sincerely,
FOI Manager
