Flying the Flag - Bourne

Thank you for your letter dated 20th May 2009.

Flags have in fact been flown regularly over the years at Bourne Town Hall until last month when a Health and Safety misunderstanding provoked the article in the Sun on 19th May 2009.

You can rest assured that the District Council fully respects the importance of “flying the flag” and all adjustments have now been carried out to the pole to ensure flags can be flown on an ongoing basis.
