FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 002519/09

I write in connection with your request for information dated 18/05/2009, which was received by Greater Manchester Police on 18/05/2009, for the following information:

Question 1. How many police officers have been asked to resign from Stockport police station from 1991 to 1993 and still actively help the police to investigate wildlife crimes up to the present date? Also, what are the police guidelines for ex-police officers that have been forced to resign but are still allowed by the police to actively working as a civilian helping the police to investigate wildlife crimes?

Question 2. How many police officers have resigned from Stockport police station from 1991 to 1993 and still actively help the police to investigate wildlife crimes up to the present date in a civilian's capacity.

Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within Greater Manchester Police to locate information relevant to your request.

Question 1 & 2. I can confirm that Greater Manchester Police (GMP) does not hold the information you have requested.

To comply with s16 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (Advice and Assistance), we can confirm that all information on Police Officers and Police Staff members, who have left the Force, is deleted 6 years from the date of leaving.
