In the late part of 2008, West Lindsey District Council took the decision to restructure its Housing and Renewal Services and part of that process was to transfer back into the Council the Home Options Service that was contracted to ACIS. The statutory function always remained with the Council as per the 1996 and 2002 Homelessness legislation. That decision was made purely on business requirements of West Lindsey District Council.
