I write in connection with your request for information dated 15 May 2009 which was received by North Yorkshire Police on 15 May 2009. I note you seek access to the following information:
I understand that you have rejected a FOI request relating to Common Purpose on the grounds that it causes harassment and disruption to them and thus indirectly to yourselves (http://www.what dotheyknow.com/request/9506/response/26522/attach/4/letters.pdf)
please could you supply a copy of any correspondence or documents (internal or external) you hold that provides evidence that Common Purpose have felt harassed or been disrupted by the campaign that you feel exits?
Following receipt of your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police to locate information relevant to your request. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.
Decision
I have decided to disclose a list of requests received by public authorities relating to Common Purpose subject to the deletion of information pursuant to the provisions of section 40 of the Freedom of Information 2000 (the Act); and
fully exempt copies of emails received from Common Purpose pursuant to the provisions of section 41 of the Act.
Reasons For Decision
Section 40(2) Personal Information, an absolute, class-based exemption
Section 41 Information Provided in Confidence, an absolute, class-based exemption.
