Ann Cooper made this Freedom of Information request to Department of Education (Northern Ireland)
Department of Education (Northern Ireland) did not have the information requested.
From: Ann Cooper
24 May 2010
Dear Department of Education (Northern Ireland),
I understand there were 1200 children unable to gain access to
preschool or primary school places in the province in 2009/10.
I would like a breakdown.
1. How many of the children concerned were from Protestant
backgrounds.
2. How many of the children concerned were from Catholic
backgrounds.
3. How many children who are not originally from Northern Ireland
or their parents, managed to secure places.
Yours faithfully,
Ann Cooper
