Surrey Police are unable to process this request as it is not valid.  Section 8 of the 
Freedom of Information Act states:  
 
(1). In this Act any reference to a 'request for information' is a reference to such a 
request which- 
 
(a) is in writing 
(b) states the name of the applicant and an address for correspondence,  and 
(c) describes the information requested, 
 
(2)  For the purpose of subsection (1) (a), a request is to be treated as made in writing 
where the text of the request- 
 
(a)  is transmitted in electronic means, 
(b)  is received in legible form, 
(c) is capable of being  of being used for subsequent reference. 
 
Your request does not meet Section 8(1)(b), in as much as there is no name stated in 
the request. 
 
If you would like this request to continue, please could you resubmit it with a full name. 
We will put your request on hold for 20 working days, if we have not heard back from 
you by then we shall consider it as closed
