Thank you for your e-mail of 8 March in which you ask for certified copies of the birth entries for Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Prince William. Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
You asked:-
Please would you give me a certified copy of the birth certificates
for the following three people - and if you are unable to do so please would you tell me who is?
Elizabeth II - Elizabeth Alexandra Mary (now called Windsor); born

The Prince Charles, Prince of Wales - Charles Philip Arthur George
(son of the aforementioned Elizabeth Alexandra Mary (now called

Prince William of Wales - William Arthur Philip Louis (son of the aforementioned Charles Philip Arthur George); born 21 June 1982 at

Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act exempts the Home Office from having to provide you with this information, because it is already in the public domain. If you have any difficulties in accessing this information at the source which I have indicated, please contact me again. One of the exemptions listed in the Freedom of Information Act is section 21, which covers information accessible to the applicant by other means. This includes circumstances in which a fee is payable. The Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953 already makes provision for applications to be made for certified copies of register entries.
