REQUEST FOR INFORMATION   
We refer to your request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 
received by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) on 12 May 2009 requesting 
the following information on an annual basis since the ODA’s inception: 
1.  The number of times legal action of any kind has been suggested by 
the ODA's legal team to any outside party or parties.  
2.  A listing of these instances including date and type of supposed 
violation: eg infringement of trademark, copyright infringement, 
defamation/libel etc.  
3.  Copies of communication from the ODA in which legal action was 
threatened and the end result (if any).  
4.  A listing of all cases in which legal action was brought or settled.  
5.  If any settlement was made, the costs of these settlements annually. 
The ODA has addressed each of the above requested items below:

We note that this question refers to “legal action of any kind … suggested by 
the ODA's legal team to any outside party or parties” (our emphasis). The 
ODA's legal team does not provide or suggest formal legal advice to outside 
parties, and we hold no information about legal action suggested by the ODA 
legal team to any outside party. In the event that your intention was to enquire 
about legal action suggested by the ODA's legal team against any outside 
party or parties, we also do not hold information of such description. 
Items 2 to 5 
Following on our answer to 1 above, the ODA does not hold information of the 
description specified.  
If you are not satisfied with the response to your request and wish to make a 
complaint, you should write to The Information Officer, Olympic Delivery 
Authority, One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5LN. Please state 
detailed grounds for your complaint.   
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply 
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the 
Information Commissioner will not make a decision unless you have 
exhausted the complaint procedure provided by the ODA. The Information
