RE: Freedom of Information Request 60941

I refer to your request for information dated 08 May 2009 in which you requested information regarding address and values of empty commercial properties that are within Liverpool City Council area. Your request had been dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please find below the response to your enquiry. Your questions were as follows:

addresses and rateable values of empty Commercial properties

that are within Liverpool City Council area; and

the names of the owners of those properties referred to in (a)

Please see enclosed to this letter a list of empty commercial properties in Liverpool City Council area that currently subject to empty rate value.

In looking at the above mentioned list, please note the following:

We have provided a list of all empty properties with rateable value, and also the owner where we know this. The definition of owner for our purposes is the person entitled to occupy the property, so this will not always be the owner according to the Land Registry
The list is made of records compiled by ourselves largely based upon information declared to us, so we cannot guarantee accuracy.
In some cases there is more than one entry for owner. This may be because there is more than one owner, or because we have received conflicting information.
