Request |
I am writing to request the following information regarding the Nick Griffin and David Irving talk at the Oxford Union on the 26th November 2007: Firstly, that you release the details of the full cost of policing the event. And whether the university supplemented the cost. Secondly, that you elicit the number of police present at the event. Thirdly, were yourselves, or police, made aware of, or took action on, or reported, any racist incidents occurring in the city centre on the night? |
Thank you for your request for the above information.
The event on 26 November 2007 was not a University event; it was organised by the Oxford Union. In answer to your three questions:
1. The University did not incur any costs, nor did it contribute towards police costs.
2. The University does not hold this information.
3. The relevant officers in the University are not aware of any such report.
If you are unhappy with the reply to your request, you may seek review by writing to the Registrar at the following address stating when and to whom the original request was made.
