Dear Mr Laurie,
INTERNAL REVIEW FOR FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REF:0181-09
Thank you for your email of 30th July. You requested a Review of the information conveyed to you in an email of 3rd June, in response to your Freedom of Information request (0181-09) 'Records relating to the activities of WikiLeaks 2007 - 2009'.
I have conducted a full examination of all correspondence and activity which was undertaken in response to your original request. I have concluded that a reasonable search was carried out in relation to your request and that the appropriate stakeholders were contacted. Upon receipt of your request a second search has been undertaken, which has yielded the same result. I can confirm that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) does not hold any information relevant to your request.
It is evident that an officer in the FCO did correspond with you, but the correspondence was not kept. This Review has highlighted weaknesses in our record keeping system. I have written to the Department with recommendations for improving this. Some improvements have already been undertaken, including the appointment of an additional Open Government Liaison Officer and an Information/Knowledge Management Champion.
I also apologise for the time it has taken for you to get this response. I have passed on recommendations for improving our response times.
If you are not content with the outcome of this internal Review you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:

Yours ever,
Sarah Hulton
