Thank you for your e-mail of 01 May requesting information about documentation used by this Department to provide the Government response to the e-petition of 17 July 2008 `Making Local Government Ombudsman's recommendations legally enforceable'. Your request has been considered under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I am writing to advise you that the information held by Communities and Local Government (CLG) is that the compliance for 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 was 100%, and that this information was supplied to CLG by the LGO. You may wish to contact the Local Government Ombudsman as to the source of the information.
Communities and Local Government as an organisation aims to be as helpful as possible in the way it deals with requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. If, however, you are not satisfied with the way in which your request has been handled or the outcome, you may request an internal review within two calendar months of the date of this letter.
