Thank you for your email received 26 March 2008 requesting the following information:

Any background papers prepared since January 2006 which have been prepared by officers setting out why collecting plastic waste for recycling is impossible.

Your request has been considered and I am able to provide you with the following link to the Council's website. Please see agenda item 10(b) of the Cabinet Meeting dated 26 October 2005 which refers to a report `Examination of Ways to Expand Recycling. I have not been able to locate any other relevant information since this date.
