This letter sets out the University's response to your request for information.
Your request has been handled in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I can confirm that the University holds some of the information that you have requested. Taking each element of your request in turn, we are able to provide the following:
How many students graduated from your establishment in 2006, 2007 and 2008?
2006: 9589
2007: 9719
2008: 10916
How many requests, from external individuals or organisations, to confirm the degree qualification of a former student at your establishment in 2006, 2007 and 2008?
The University has nothing to disclose in response to this request as it does not record this information. Ad hoc requests may be received across the University at any time.
