Thank you for your email which was received on 17 April 2009 in which you asked for information provide details of all of “long term empty” Commercial properties that are within Hackney Borough Council area.

I have pleasure in enclosing a list which was produced by our Council Tax section. The list details all properties which are empty where business rates would be applicable to. Businesses and other organisations that occupy non-domestic properties pay non-domestic rates, which are often known as business rates. This is a means of filtering such properties which are not owned by commercial organisations. It is important to note that the list was complied a number of months ago.

Please note that we are currently in the process of updating this list.

Should you require an updated copy of the list of empty commercial properties then please let me know.
