How much has been spent by the MoJ Library on (a) books, (b) newspapers and (c) serials, with the information broken down by year.
Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
The figures answering your enquiry can be found below. Please note that the increase in expenditure between the 07/08 and 08/09 financial years (particularly on books) was due to the creation of the Ministry of Justice Library, which was a merger between the former Department for Constitutional Affairs HQ Library and elements of the Home Office Library.
